Here’s my take on the smoothie version of a black forest gateau with the creaminess coming from avocado and the rich chocolate flavour from cacao powder, but you can use unsweetened cocoa powder if you like.
Benefits: You get a fair antioxidant hit from the berries and cacao plus the avocado and cacao are great for skin, making this a tasty and nourishing brekkie!

Healthy "black forest" cherry chocolate smoothie! Breakfast Grainfree snack vegan

Recipe (serves 1)
-80g strawberries
-130g/approx. 13 cherries, pitted
-200ml milk of choice
-1/2 small avocado
-1 small tspn cacao powder/ unsweetened cocoa
-1 handful spinach, fresh or frozen

Directions
Simply pop everything into a blender until smooth, sprinkle on some cacao nibs for a crunchy texture if desired
